And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. – John 17:10

This is our relationship to the Son of God, “that we have the forgiveness of sins, our redemption through His Blood”. This is what the apostle Paul had to say with regards to that, “while we were still sinners Christ died for us”. What a beautiful truth we have in the Word of God! What a way for the apostle Paul to paint this picture for us! Jesus…having loved His own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end (John 13:1)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -John 14:6

The apostle John astoundingly says this, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” We talked about this in the first two part of this series. John continues to add that these are not born by the will of man; they are not even born of blood or of the will of the flesh. But they are born of God! This then testifies to the truth that you, who are in Christ Jesus, have the very nature of God. Through Christ Jesus, you are the children of God, the very sons of God. Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God! Understand this also, in John 14:6, Jesus says, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me”

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. – 1 Peter 1:4

As for Jesus Himself, He had this to say of our relationship to Him: (1) we live because He lives (John 14:19), (2) we are in Him, and He is in us (John 14:20), (3) He is preparing a place for us in heaven, He will return to us for us to be with Him in His Father’s house (in other words in heaven), (John 14:2), He gave us His peace (John 14:27) and His joy (John 15:11), He chose us (John 15:16) and we are His friends (13, 14-15) because He loves us (John 15:9, 12-13). Remember we awaiting the return of Jesus, our High Priest and Brother, to take us to be with Him and our heavenly Father because we are not of this world (John 15:19) but of God (John 1:12-13).

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly… God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:6, 8
