As Jesus is Today, So Are You!
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” – 1 John 4:17
It is wonderful to know that God does not measure and judge us based on our performance today. Instead, He looks at Jesus, and as Jesus is, that is how He sees us. His Word declares that “love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”
As new covenant believers, we do not have to fear the day of judgment simply because all our sins have been completely judged at the cross, and as Jesus is, so are we.
Please notice the Word says, “as Jesus is” (which is present tense). In other words, as He is right now, so are we in this world.
Christ right now is seated at the executive right hand of God (position of power and authority). Therefore, we can conclude by boldly saying, you are co-seated with Christ at the executive right hand of God, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
“he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” – Ephesians 1:20-23
“and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:6-7
